This is a matchplay round robin competition for individuals played on a handicap basis so that some players will receive a stroke on a number of holes from another player in any single 18 hole round.
In any match the difference in the two players' handicaps will determine the number of shots given/received. For example Karltour's handicap is 15 and Gova's handicap is zero. The difference of 15 means that Gova receives 1 stroke on 15 holes from hole 4 onwards.
The maximum number of strokes that can be given/received is 18.
The handicaps used are shown on the matches tab..
In the event of a tie matches will be decided by bringing individual hole scores into play. For example the first hole examined will be hole 18 and whoever had the lowest score on that hole will win the match. If both players had the same score then hole 9 will be used to try and determine a winner. Then holes 17, 8,16,7 and so on.
Use the stroke play game mode.
Play all 18 holes.
Send the game file and round file to Dave using gbodave@yahoo.co.uk. by Wednesday night.
The round files will be posted here. Download each of your opponents' round files and play against those rounds using the same conditions. This will produce a game file which will show details of two players. You will end up with three such game files. Send them to Dave by Sunday night
GBO Admin will examine the scorecards for the players in each match and calculate the holes won and lost and determine the winner applying the usual matchplay format of "5 and 4"," 2 and 1" or match tied etc.
3 points for a win and 1 point for a tie.
